For over four decades, The Child’s World – A Growing Center, Inc. (TCWAGCI) has been a trusted provider of early childhood education, special education programs, and inclusive learning opportunities in Quezon City. Since 1982, we have remained committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
Founded by Evelyn Mendoza Tan, TCWAGCI began with a simple but powerful vision: to provide children with a positive first learning experience in a loving yet disciplined environment. What started as a small classroom serving one child with autism has grown into a respected educational institution that supports both regular learners and individuals with special needs.
Today, TCWAGCI continues to serve as a second home for children and families, offering programs that promote academic growth, social development, creativity, independence, and lifelong learning.
“What a journey it has been…” as the song goes. Indeed, we have all gone through a lot these past four decades.
Personally, I have lost our elder son Jay, husband John Tan, and dear parents, Dr. Julian Mendoza and Digna Medina-Mendoza. Now, with my only other son Karl, somehow life does not feel so empty with all of you in our larger family that is The Child’s World!
We would not have been able to carry on in pursuit of our dreams without each other. So to all of you, thank you so very much for always being there with us these 40 years. Together, let us continue empowering our special children to be “the best they can be!”
