We believe that each special child is a gift wrapped in love. They are filled with unconditional love.

According to 2002 statistics, there are approximately 201,000 children with disabilities in the Philippines. Although there’s a growing awareness about children with special needs, many of them still grow into adulthood suffering ridicule and very low expectations from society.

Children with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Muscular Dystrophy, and other physical or mental impairments need to be accepted and given the proper attention they seek.

The Child’s World – A Growing Center, Inc (TCWAGCI), a school for children and adults with special needs, held SpeED UnLIMITed – A Very Special Run on January 31, 2016 at the CCP Complex, Pasay City.

The fun run was held not only to create awareness for the plight of the children and adults with special needs but also to raise funds for the scholarship program of the

TCWAGCI’s indigent students, who comprised 50-60% of the school’s population at the time.

A sport gives children with special needs the boost of confidence to be at their best.

Running to finish a race becomes an important goal. With children, winning does not mean being the first to get the medal.

Winning simply means being your best to achieve the goal.

SpeED UnLIMITed was organized by The Child’s World – A Growing Center, Inc. family and friends and Pinoy Aspiring Runners.
