In 1982, Ms. Evelyn Mendoza Tan realized her dream of starting a school, committed to providing quality academic innovation and integration with a strong family focus. Importance was given to providing a positive first time learning experience within a loving but disciplined environment which will establish a positive foundation for future school experiences.
TCW SPECIAL EDUCATION
A focused program for children and adults with special needs was also instituted with the aim of working closely with the child and the family to help them integrate and cope better with the rest of the world.
Our staff consists of teachers and specialists with diverse educational backgrounds and experiences and credentials.
When more specialized activities and therapies are preferred, TCW can quickly set up on-site or off-site supplemental and clinical services, particularly in the areas of: Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioral Modification, Emotional and Trauma Therapy, and Developmental Delays.
We are very family directed, and as such, we encourage and facilitate a cooperative relationship with parents to work on the specific needs of the children entrusted to our care.
The Parent-Teacher Conference is the vehicle by which we usually communicate concerns and child progress. Seminars and talks are organized to enable direct access of parents, caregivers, and our teachers and staff to the experts.
Today, The Child’s World is proud of the national and international recognition awarded its wide array of family-focused programs. Depending on individual talents and needs, specialists work hand-in-hand with the child and family members to form a support system that not only benefits the child but also the family itself.
